For the first TMI Tuesday in December, the lot of us are answering questions about the work involved with maintaining relationships. My answers are below. However, if you’d like to join in on the discussion, visit TMITuesdayBlog for more info about how to get started.
1. Lingerie–do you like to give it as a gift or received it?
ANSWER: Both. Receiving lingerie is fun. But finding unique and interesting ways in which to ‘gift’ it back to the giver is my favorite part.
2. What’s a good date night movie?
ANSWER: Anything with suspense, action, and adventure. My partner stands to benefit significantly from any vicarious adrenaline high I get from watching a good action flick.
3. When your partner asks you “what’s wrong?” do you most often say “nothing” when something clearly is wrong? Why?
ANSWER: Ha! He’d wouldn’t have to ask. I am very good at using my words…and have no problems communicating my displeasure.
4. To keep the fires burning, and the relationship fresh you need to send your significant other just one text. What is that text?
ANSWER: Hey, hun! Remember my girl-crush? We’re about to make-out. Get home quick if you want to watch.
BONUS: What was your last grand romantic gesture?
ANSWER: I am one to woo with words and am not above writing poetry for a man—if he inspires those kinds of ‘feels’. For a literary person like myself, channeling my ‘inner-Bard’ is the grand-daddy of romantic gestures.
